Ask yourself, what is your ultimate goal in life? Ultimate, ultimate goal, defined here as life would feel somewhat incomplete without achieving it. Answers to this question separate those with real ambition and those without. I can't help but feel disappointed when people answer along the lines of "to be able to chill at the beach and not worry about anything" or "to travel and see the world", my response to that is, that's it? When one's answer only affects the individual, it is not a wrong answer, just not an ambitious one.

How about reaching goals that affect higher than one self? A truly ambitious person would spearhead growth in society because they existed. A truly ambitious person would make their life not just about themselves, but about people and social issues they care about for future generations. A truly ambitious person lives larger than life.

For some people, figuring out their ultimate goals take time, as it should. You need to live and experience to understand what are the important things in life to you, what are some things you'd like to explore more of or some things you'd like to change about the society. People say, dare to dream and reach for the moon, I say "reach for Jupiter and you'll at least land on a star". Dare to dream big.

Goals may change through time, but when you identify a few you feel very strongly about, it's time to put those dreams into action plans. Having a plan to your dreams is as if having a precious treasure map to the wonderful hidden treasures. Not everyone is fortunate enough to live out their dreams/ ultimate goals, but at least trying to get there will not leave you wondering, "I could of'/ should of", which is one of the saddest regrets in life.
