You get a lot of attention at work because you're hot. While digesting all the flying complements, you might want to take note that some complements are not freebies. Sometimes the "harassment" is not serious enough to report to HR, it just makes you feel uncomfortable or funny, what do you do? Here are some scenarios that had happened in real life to S&Ps and how to best take care of them:
1. The President of the Company (this was an Internet company so thank god this guy was young) sends you a facebook message
Brad and you have not officially met, but you receive a friendly message from him through facebook. At first the messages were innocent but eventually the content becomes kind of ...not so innocent. Now, say you have no interest in this guy, but since he's the President of the company, you want to be super careful on how you handle this one. (First off, it's kind of creepy he finds you on Facebook without really haven't been introduced to you.) In case of anything related to job security comes up due to rejecting this guy, here are 2 easy steps you must do:
1. Screen print those emails
2. Bring this up to your manager in a joking manner, tell him you're not trying to make a complaint but just thought it was funny. By doing so, you are making the issue known but in a non-formal manner.
2. Working late on site deployment with a male colleague, the 2 of you alone in an office and he starts making that kind of comments
The website deployment to production started at 9pm (trying to avoid main online traffic hours) and it is just you and him sharing one office, he is your lead. To your surprise, after an hour or so of deployment, he pulls out alcohol from under the desk and starts having a few while working. You tell him you don't think it's a good idea but he doesn't listen, plus, did I mention, he's your lead. It is now 10:30pm, he's getting happy, you're minding your own business.
He goes, "You know, I really enjoy working with you" and "I think most people don't understand you the way I do", and here it comes, "you're really pretty, you know?"... wait for it... "I think you're a very special person", then he gazes long and hard into your eyes. gross.
What do you do? Feeling trapped in that office alone with somebody you're supposed to be able to trust as your lead, working.
At that moment, especially since there is alcohol involved, don't stir up extra drama and make a scene. Laugh it off and tell him "You're Drunk!" and keep a steady distance from that moment on. Not to mention, you lost all the respect for him anyway.
3. A male colleague giving you "special" gifts
If a guy at work is buying you jewelry, chocolates, or roses, chances are they're not for innocent reasons. Say it is established that nothing special is going on between you and your colleague, but he ends up presenting a gift similar to above, what should you say to prevent him from doing this in the future and at the same time not hurting his feelings?
Simply tell him you would prefer to receive different items as gifts such as food items (a slice of cake from the cafe, coffee, etc.), and not jewelry or roses. He will get the hint unless he's really out of the scene.

4. He stares like he's never seen it before EVERY time you walk by
The guy sits down the hall from you and every time you walk by he'd take notice and have that extra twinkle or look in his eyes, you know what I'm talking about. It gets disturbing after a while. All you need to do is actually confront him, stare straight back and say "what." Then look away and keep walking.
5. He's badmouthing you because you rejected him
poor desolated souls... j/k... Some people just don't take rejection well. Do not confront him about it because he already feels put down by you and he will never admit to badmouthing because he feels rejected. The best thing to do is to maintain your cool and make sure you don't hook up with or become too friendly with anybody in his circle/department because that will just make him even more jealous and spread rumors about your character you do not need spreaded.
