It's all about attitude. Seriously, if you present yourself as focused, determined, and of course, professional, it's harder to label you as "just a pretty face". You do not want anyone to question your abilities and credentials at the work place because of your looks. However, you shouldn't compromise your beauty just to be taken seriously. Here are a few smart suggestions for the pretty girl at the work place:

Articulate
Send a clear message. Being able to deliver your thoughts and suggestions in a fluid, crisp manner takes training, especially when you deal with different people. You need to tailor your deliverance according to your audience as everyone has their own personality and perceive messages differently. Nonetheless, make sure you get your point across and seal the deal with a nod on their end, this shows they have acknowledged and processed your message and you don't leave behind ambiguity.

Know What You Want
Statistically women are more indecisive than men are. It is not wise to exhibit this trait at the work place. Yes, listen to others' opinions but when it comes to making a decision, know what you want and be firm about it. Many relate beauty and girly features to stereotypical feminine traits, however, by being decisive and exhibiting dominance in your beliefs will set you aside from a lot of the female crew and show strength in your character people may not have expected.

Dress to Impress
If you're good looking and certain clothes enhance your looks, why not wear them out? Just make sure you don't dress trashy. The thin line between sexy and trashy depend a lot on attitude, makeup, hair, and accessories. The golden rule is, if you're wearing a sexy top, wear a conservative bottom. When you're wearing a skirt, wear a good-girl top. When your outfit is already eye-catching, tone down the accessories as much as possible. You do not want to look desperate for attention. In any case, make sure you look good, you know people gravitate toward pretty people.

Be a Team Player
Remember, the work place and the outside world are different environments. Just because people generally treat you special because you're pretty (give up their seats for you, let you cut in line, do things/ small favors for you, are extra patient with you, etc.), the same rules and special treatment should not apply or be expected at the work place. The worst thing is to seem snobby because it just satisfies people's stereotype for pretty girls. Don't complain because you are asked to work late or are tasked with a tedious task, somebody's gotta do it! People appreciate a good attitude and recognize a team player.
